Hello, I’m Salena, the face behind The Traveling Project Manager!

Project management is my second act career, and it has truly transformed my life. Originally from Chicago, I moved out west in 2022 to embrace a new adventure and build my business. As a first-generation business owner and a proud graduate with a Master’s degree in Counseling and Behavior Analysis, I’ve found that my background uniquely equips me for the challenges and rewards of project management.

My behavior analysis and counseling education have given me valuable insights into human behavior, communication, and motivation—invaluable skills in project management. I’ve combined my love for travel and adventure with my passion for helping others organize, plan, and execute their projects successfully.

I enjoy helping others, especially creative individuals with a small business or a big idea, but I need some help with structure and organization. Through The Traveling Project Manager, I aim to blend structured project management techniques with the spontaneity and excitement of exploring new places.
